Dictation is just the start: you speak and Writhere types into whatever app you're in, writes up your calls and fixes your text. The AI runs entirely on your Mac: no cloud, no servers, nothing you say ever leaves it. €49 once, yours forever.
“ok note to self before i forget — need to call the accountant about the q3 invoices, and umm the the writhere landing still needs the pricing section, oh and remind giorgia that dinner with marco and sara is friday not thursday i keep mixing it up”
Note to self: call the accountant about the Q3 invoices. The Writhere landing still needs its pricing section. And remind Giorgia that dinner with Marco and Sara is Friday, not Thursday.
Put your cursor anywhere — an email, a chat, a doc, a terminal, that cramped little text box that fits nothing. Press once and talk. Writhere types where you’re pointing, so there’s no window to switch to and nothing to paste. You never leave what you’re doing.
Hold fn and talk: Writhere transcribes on your Mac, punctuation included, typing straight into whatever app you’re in.
It’s not a setting you switch on: it’s how it’s built. Writhere has no backend to send your voice to. Dictation, call transcription, summaries and chat: it all happens here, on your Mac. The one exception is your call: the optional AI cleanup, which uses your own API key.
Transcribed by your Mac, typed into your apps. It never touches a server.
Recorded, transcribed and summarized locally. No bots in the meeting, no audio uploaded.
The models live on your disk. Summaries and answers are generated on your hardware, even offline.
Everyone else rents you their servers by the month. Writhere’s AI lives on your machine — nothing to rent, so nothing to bill. Go ahead, pick your plan.
€49, then nothing. No subscription, no renewals, no “price update” email in two years.
Your voice is processed right here, on your device. It never leaves.
On-device means it works offline, with no rate limits and no waiting on a server.
I dictate every PR description and stand-up note now. Three weeks in and I keep forgetting I’m not paying a monthly bill for it.
It all runs on my machine — that’s what sold me. I handle client matters, and nothing I dictate ever leaves the laptop.
Faster than I can type, and I type fast. My first drafts are done out loud before the coffee’s even cold.
Real apps for Mac — not a browser tab pretending to be one. Universal build for both Intel and Apple Silicon, and it feels instant because the work happens right here, on your device, not in a data centre an ocean away.
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and make sure Writhere is enabled under Microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring (plus Screen Recording if you transcribe calls). Then relaunch the app: macOS applies some of these only to a fresh start. You can check them anytime from the Autorizzazioni section in the app dashboard.
Voice to text with the AI inside. One payment, every app, yours for life.
